Accurate: The
Rotary Cap Placement System is a continuous motion, rotary device which
precisely places screw caps onto threaded containers and engages the
threads before releasing the cap and container from the applicator. Caps
are perfectly aligned every time. No cocked or skewed caps!
Economical:
The Rotary Cap Placement System can be mounted directly next to the
cap tightener. The NERCA comes with a deluxe 10" x 6' delrin table
top conveyor.
Versatile: This
Rotary Cap Placement System is ideal if your bottles are heading directly
to an induction sealing device.
The Rotary Cap Placement System combines the NEM Model
NERCA with the Model NEPMT Retorquer/Cap Tightener. (For information on
the NEPMT, please see separate flyer.)
The cap applicator and retorquer/cap tightener combine the functions of
cap sorting, cap feeding and alignment, and cap tightening in one system.
The NERCA cap applicator with the Model NEPMT retorquer/cap tightener is
positioned over a supplied 10' conveyor. Caps are fed to a bulk supply
hopper or sorting bowl and transported on elevator cleats to the discharge
chute. The orienting elevator allows correctly oriented caps to reach the
discharge chute, while incorrectly oriented caps are rejected back to the
hopper. The caps exit the elevator and travel through the discharge chute
to the upper starwheel where the caps are transferred to the cap
applicator. The containers,
meanwhile, enter the lower starwheel, are aligned directly below the caps
and the caps are placed directly onto the containers and rotated until the
threads are engaged. After the caps are placed on the containers they exit
the NERCA cap applicator and are captured by dual running belts in the
NEPMT where final torque is applied. The speed of these belts is set in
precise relation to conveyor speed and tightening roller speed. The
running belts have full control of the container through to discharge.
