Job Title:   Mechanical Engineer – 1 opening – Salary position with full benefits. Leading Engineering and Manufacturer company of high speed packaging equipment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. NEM, Inc. supplies equipment to Fortune 500 companies throughout the US and WorldWide. We are a family owned company with a focus on innovation and excellence.            Successful candidate will be required to apply his/her knowledge and experience to development of new equipment and standardization of existing machines. He/she will be responsible for  the preparation of  BOM(s)  and follow project from inception to completion. He/she will provide assistance in trouble-shooting manufacturing problems as needed.            Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, plus a minimum of 5-10 years related experience.  Must be able to conceptualize, design, execute and report status of machine design to meet project criteria.  Design mechanical parts/assemblies using AutoCad 2002 or higher ,3D Solid Works or Inventor 9.  Must be able to produce and modify bills of materials and operating manuals for machinery.   Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Must be highly motivated and result oriented.

            Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years experience or 5-10 years related experience if no degree has been earned. Must be capable of programming AB PLCs, SERVOs  and HMIs.  Candidate should have experience with interfacing with various communication protocols; design, procure and layout control panels. Must be capable of creating electrical schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD. Experience with pneumatic layout drawings and controls is desirable. Must possess a firm understanding of  entire electrical scope of machinery.  Knowledge of NEC codes, & NFPA-79.

Requirements: Must supply own tools.  Minimum of 2 years repairing, tuning, and/or building machinery.  Knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting.  Willing to travel to customer’s plants to install, repair, or troubleshoot problems.  General knowledge of mechanical and electrical workings of machinery.
