The Model NELC Lane Combiner System includes three distinct sections - dual lane container infeed, lane combining, and single lane discharge.

In the infeed section, two conveyorized lanes feed into two sets of counter rotating feed screws which space the containers into the appropriate pockets of the entrance star wheels.

In the combining section, each star wheel places containers into every other pocket of the discharge star wheel, resulting in every pocket being filled.

The discharge section moves the containers in single file from the combining star wheel to the discharge conveyor. Discharge can be at any angle between parallel to the incoming direction or perpendicular to the incoming direction.

The NELC Lane Combiner is a heavy-duty system, capable of speeds to 1000 containers per minute depending upon container design. By use of "change parts" the NELC is capable of handling a wide variety of container shapes and sizes. The NELC can also be constructed as a lane divider.
