The New England Machinery, Inc. Model NEHHBT is a high speed unscrambler designed to handle all types of plastic containers. This heavy duty unscrambler can handle round, square, oval, rectangular, straight-walled, tapered and assymetrical containers. Containers are fed to the sorter bowl via a bulk feeding hopper elevator (available as an option). The containers are fed to the sorter bowl in timed sequence to match demand from the NEHHBT unscrambler. The rotary force of the sorter bowl moves the containers to the outside circumference of the bowl where they fall into the delivery track of the bowl.

At the exit point of the bowl, a timing belt delivers the containers to the orienting section of the Model NEHHBT. The sorter bowl ensures that a continuous supply of containers is delivered to the orienting wheel.

Within the orienting wheel, the machine mechanically detects if the containers are running base leading or neck leading, as the goal is to configure each container in a base-leading configuration. Base-leading containers pass through the orienting mechanism while neck-leading containers are gently reoriented by turning the containers to a base-leading format.

With all containers now running in a base-leading configuration, they contact a cam, which uprights them. The uprighted, containers are captured by the discharge belt assembly, which delivers them in standing fashion to a customer-supplied conveyor.
